gINT Online demonstration - Danish Localisation

Date:
16/06/2011 - 16:15

Agenda: (55-65 min total)

1. Historic application (15 min)
• GeoGIS and legacy data overview
• Limitations, issues and assumptions that were built into GeoGIS logs
• Overview: (not a demo) Capability to import legacy GeoGIS data into gINT and report it in the same way GeoGIS
• Overview: It’s your choice: continue to develop layers from sample data (the same workflow as GeoGIS), or use the standard Strata tables to enter interpreted layer geology.
2. gINT standard with Lab Testing for Denmark
• Denmark standard lithology and well backfill symbols (demo)
• AGS-compatible data structure with Lab Testing modules included (demo)
• Overview: All the gINT standard Features: Lookups already set to Danish standards, variable depth scales for logs, user-definable reports, export of data to several Interchange formats, inter-operability with other Bentley applications
• Component Soil and Rock data entry that simplifies creation of the layer (or sample) description, preventing typos to insure that overlay graphics appear correctly (demo)
• Optional backfill colors on graphic log and fence columns to reflect depositional age (demo with log report)
• Log reports that use component overlay graphics to report the soil and rock graphic “legend” (will demo at least one log report)
• Fence reports that do the same for multiple boreholes (will demo at least one fence)
• Graph reports that present Lab Testing data (plan to demo at least one graph, time permitting)
3. gINT accommodates the sample-by-sample description for soils the same as GeoGIS:
• If sample-by-sample description is chosen, layer information will be generated automatically via gINT Rule
• Uses same simplified component data entry to prevent typos; ensure overlay graphics appear correctly
4. Open Q&A: Where do we go from here?
